Patients with cirrhosis and related renal disorders frequently undergo combined liver and kidney transplants (CLKT). The majority of these individuals have parenchymal kidney disorders, chronic hepatitis B or C infection, glomerulopathy associated with alcoholic cirrhosis, or chronic renal failure brought on by kidney rejection following kidney transplantation. For patients with a lower kidney donor profile, delayed kidney transplantation in conjunction with liver-kidney transplantation resulted in better survival rates and general outcomes.
