Image-guided brachytherapy (IGB) IGB uses advanced imaging techniques to make brachytherapy more precise, safe, and effective.  Brachytherapy is done through four phases that include the placement of hollow catheters or hollow carriers, CT or MRI imaging of the site, computer calculations of the dose distribution, and robotic radiation treatment.
